Kirkby Lonsdale's fine range of quality shops and Ingleton's famous waterfall walks and caves are all 8 miles distant and Kendal is an easy trip of about 20 miles. Beatrix Potter's home (N.T.) in the Lake District and Lake Windermere's cruises and excellent water sports opportunities are less than an hour's drive. Golf and horse riding can be enjoyed nearby and village shops and pubs are 2 miles.
