A local shop and two fine dining pubs are within a short walk and the historic city of Chester (10 miles) offers great days out.

" Larchwood cottage was just fabulous. It was beautifully decorated and extremely clean. When we got there, the owners had left some Welsh bread, Welsh butter and tea which was a lovely welcome gift. The cottage had everything you could want and more and the log burner in the living room made the whole cottage very warm and homely. We will hopefully be returning there next year! "

" This cosy and warm nook felt just like home from the moment we opened the door. The cottage is extremely well equipped and tidily furnished with new modern furnishings. The locals are very friendly and there are a couple of reasonable pub/restaurants within a mile or two. The location is an ideal base for visiting Chester (ex Park and Ride) and Liverpool. There is a village shop that sells provisions, newspapers, etc. "

" Larchwood cottage has everything you could want to have a really relaxed holiday. The cottage was spotless, beds were comfy and things like the selection of Horrid Henry books in the twin bedroom were very appreciated by my boys. Loggerheads country park is next door, and the view from the top of the cliff is worth the climb. Rainbow Inn a mile away from the cottage serves great food. Finally a stunning beach at Talacre 40mins away. "
