" Ideally situated to travel into City of York (about 2-3 miles to the excellent Park and Ride). It is also convenient for a very large out of town shopping centre (less than 2 miles) which supplies every need. "

" The accommodation was great, and especially the exclusive use of the pool and hot tub by pre-booking it. "

" We found this a nice 'out of the way' place to stay with friendly hosts, and plenty of walks away 3 miles from the nearest main roads. Almost exclusive use of a pool and hot tub was also welcomed. T he accommodation was clean and cosy with a collection of DVDs and videos for the evenings or rainy days. An ideal location for those with dogs as the farm dog, Rufus was very friendly too. The small village of Littleport was interesting for basic supplies, with more being found from the Bugen at Witchford Road garage (3rd roundabout on A10 towards Cambridge). For the 'all purpose shop', the Tesco superstore was easy to find on the outskirts of Ely (follow A10 to Cambridge, followed by A142 towards Newmarket), although there were plenty of shops in Ely itself with ample free parking. Easy to reach day trips were made to Thetford Forest taking in Mildenhall and Lakenheath airbases, Kings Lynn, Downham Market (all towards Norfolk), Cambridge to the southwest (be sure to use the park and ride, it's so easy!). " I don't speak enough english, but very quiet and relaxing. "

" Fantastic location. If you want to see the lovely Cornwall. "

" I would definitely recommend Hengar Manor to anyone. We went as a mixed aged family and there was something to suit all from bingo for our nanny to the kids disco for the wee one. The entertainers were excellent and really interacted well with the children no matter what age. The accommodation was perfect and everything you needed was on site. Excellent location for seeing all of Cornwall, and will definitely consider another holiday in the future. "

" Would like to recommend this cottage to friends, good location and pleasant accommodation. "

" Great location apart from the very busy A64 which was heavy traffic all day long. "
|
" We booked Merricote cottage and Rosemary cottage which were both great. Pretty gardens behind the cottages with bbq areas, hot tub and huge trampoline. Cafe serving very nice and reasonably priced food. Great location, only 10 minutes drive to York city centre (approx £11-£12 in a taxi) and there is also park and ride a few minutes drive away that will also take you into the centre for £2.30 per person return. Merricote cottage has a real log fire and both cottages are well equiped with pots, pans, towels etc. Merricote also has a shower room as well as bathroom which it did not mention on the website and came in very handy for 8 girls sharing! "

" We stayed in this cottage over Christmas as a party of 8 (including a baby) and 2 dogs. The cottage was fantastic and was exactaly what we were hoping for. Great location, only 5 minutes drive from the shops. We didnt venture much further than that as it was very bad weather with all the snow we had. Overall, we all had a great christmas in merricote cottages! "

" We all enjoyed our weekend break at this cottage. Well positioned for to visit York and the Park and Ride is only a short drive away. Loads to do near the cottage, swimming, Go-Karting, shopping and lovely walks. Huge safe Garden for the children to play in with lots to do. Will go back to this cottage again. Recommend to stay here. "
