This is a horse rider's paradise with stables adjacent and stabling available at an extra charge if you want to bring your own horse. The quaint property is bright, airy and very homely and is the ideal base for a sporting break or just a relaxing week in front of an open fire. Drumlanrig Castle is a short drive away, and houses a famous art collection, including works by Rembrandt and Leonardo as well as offering a great family day out with an adventure playground and 7 STANES mountain bike trails at AE forest (2 miles). Bikes can be hired at Drumlanrig and tuition is available. There is loch fishing just 1 mile from the cottage and salmon fishing in the Nith. Falconry lessons and Vintage Car Hire can be organised at a nearby hotel, only a couple of miles away. Hillwalkers make the most of the Southern Upland Way and golfers alike are well catered for.
