" The private 9-hole golf course attached to the property is a brilliant facility. It was used by no-one else during our four-day stay. It's more than pitch and putt - some of the holes are 200 yards long! If you're an enthusiast, take your own clubs. Otherwise there are a few clubs in the cottage. Access to Athelhampton House and Gardens is included in the price - this is also a great benefit. And the owners provide a generous supply of basic groceries to start you off, so no scrabbling around for milk, bread , tea, coffee etc when you arrive. A great cottage! "

Extra touch from owners, tea, coffee, milk, bread, cleaning materials in kitchen - tea cloths, j cloths. In bathrooms loo rolls and little basket with shampoo etc. Lovely surprise. "

Having the manor house on the doorstep was a bonus and the gardens in particular were beautiful. Lots of interesting places to visit nearby and everyone was very welcoming.
