This is a holiday location to suit everyone – for natural pleasures the spectacular coastline and nature reserve of St Abb's Head are just a few miles away and the Northumbrian coast's miles of unspoilt beaches and Holy Island of Lindisfarne are a half hour drive. Whilst for visitors seeking historic attractions and lively cultural delights the beautiful city of Edinburgh is only about an hour's drive. Seal spotting and feeding boat excursions and diving are easily accessible as are great country houses and castles including Aydon Floors and Mellerstain. Shops and pubs serving food 3 miles.

Every bedroom had an ensuite and the setting outside was lovely with the river running close by. The only problem we had was getting any mobile signal, but I would love to go again. "
