Stronend Cottage nestles at the foot of the Campsie Fells, on the edge of the fertile Carse of Stirling, in a peaceful countryside location. This newly built detached cottage has been tastefully decorated and is well equipped throughout. The ground floor has underfloor heating making the open plan lounge/kitchen / diner an ideal space for all the family to gather. The room has a wonderful light and airy aspect with stunning uninterrupted views to the hills and down the glen where sheep graze and deer wander by. The bedrooms are light and spacious. To the front of the cottage there is a private garden area with patio and outdoor furniture to enjoy alfresco dining. The village of Kippen offers local facilities including a butcher, deli, grocery shop and award winning pub and restaurant only a short drive away. Nearby Balfron has an 18-hole golf course and Carron Valley has graded mountain bike trails. There are ample opportunities for fishing (by permit) on the numerous surrounding lochs. The Campsie Fells and Fintry Hills provide a variety of walking tracks and the Trossachs has spectacular mountains to climb like Ben Lomond, Ben A'an, Ben Venue and Ben Ledi. There is an abundance of wildlife to spot in the surrounding area including ospreys, red squirrels and pine martens. There are ample of activities available for every age including clay pigeon shooting, horse riding, guided walks, 4x4 safaris, quad biking and sailing. For the more adventurous Aberfoyle has a high wire forest experience, with the longest zip wire in Britain. This is an area steeped in history with lots of places of interest to visit. The Loch Katrine Steamship Sir Walter Scott is a great cruise, reached by a thrilling drive over the twisting undulating Duke's Pass, or experience the 3 Lochs Forest Drive. Visit Scotlands only Lake Lake of Menteith and take a boat trip over to Inchmahome Priory. Blair Drummond Safari Park, located just outside Stirling, is less than a half hour drive away and a visit to Stirling can provide lots of historical places of interest to explore or a spot of retail therapy.
