Open plan sitting room with open fire sofa bed (for + 2) and kitchen and dining areas. First foor: Two double bedrooms. Small bunk bedded room with 2' 6" beds (for + 2). Bathroom/WC.
This Grade II+ listed 15th century cottage is a particularly important building of more than special interest and one of a very small number in the UK. Once half of a Wealden hall house it later served as a buttery before being divided to form two adjoining properties. Featuring a steep wooden staircase an open fire containing a bread oven and a private enclosed garden with secure electric gates it sits within a minute's walk of a discreet side entrance to historic Mote Park. Dating back to the Middle Ages Mote Park's 450 acres of mature parkland offer many beautiful walks (dogs welcome) a 30 acre lake for sailing angling and model boats and a leisure centre with pitch and put play area skate park and indoor swimming pool. Maidstone is under 3 miles. Shop and pub in Bearsted village 1½ miles.

Visitor Reviews |
" The house is gorgeous, furnished with very good taste and very confortable. Access to beautiful Mote Park is a definite advantage so that the location is both urban and countryside. Our teenagers and younger children all had reasons to spend a very enjoyable week. We will definitely come again. "
