This is a fantastic rural location to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday living but is still situated in a central location to explore all that is on offer in Argyll. You look out onto the mountains up Glen Etive and twin peaks of Beinn Cruachan, famous as the "Hollow Mountain" and is home to a hydro scheme built deep into the mountain. An area which has fantastic outdoor activities, cycling on quiet roads, walking, climbing all round, historical locations, stunning scenery, with spectacular coastline and abundant wildlife. Taynuilt village (1.5 miles) has its own 9 hole golf course. There are a good selection of shops in the village including a butchers and an antique shop. A short walk away and you are down at the seashore, you can take a cruise up Loch Etive and visit the Bonawe Furnace. A short drive to Oban (12 miles) offers swimming pool, good shopping, a whiskey distillery, McCaig's Tower and much more. Take a day trip on a ferry to the islands or travel north over the Connel Bridge to visit the Scottish Sea Life Sanctuary (7 miles).
