The Property
A quality conversion of a former coach house, this detached Kingscote cottage is one of several properties located in the grounds of Mill Place Farm in the hamlet of Kingscote, surrounded by undulating pastures in the Medway Valley, and with the river Medway meandering through the centre of this working livestock farm. Mill Place Farmhouse is believed to be one of the oldest houses in Sussex, dating back from 1320, and this beautiful hall looks down into the valley where the The Coach House is located. The Coach House is a very well-equipped Kingscote cottage, offering open plan modern living on the ground floor, plus two good size bedrooms and a family bathroom upstairs. The private patio area with garden furniture and a barbeque is a great spot for outdoor dining, and guests to this Kingscote cottage enjoy shared use of the grounds, and it is only a lovely 200 metre walk leading to two lakes, wonderful for picnics. At the main entrance leading down to this Kingscote cottage is a bridge where the steam train passes by, plus a local riding school for those who wish to enjoy the beautiful countryside from horseback. A welcoming Kingscote cottage, ideal for a family or romantic break.

The Medway Valley is home to Kingscote, a charming Sussex Weald village close to the famous Bluebell Railway, which offers steam train rides and a chance to come face to face with old favourite Thomas The Tank Engine. Restaurants, pubs and shops can be found in the nearby market town of Turners Hill, and National Trust members can make the most of their cards by enjoying the 10 NT properties within an 18 mile radius of Kingscote. Enjoy a stroll on Ashdown Forest, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, or try sailing, fishing or simply take a picnic by the water at Weir Wood Reservoir.
