Dunoon (20 miles) is a popular seaside town and has an 18 hole golf course and Inverary (30 miles) in its glorious setting on the shores of Loch Fyne promises a rewarding trip.

Inverary Jail now a museum and Inverary Castle are both well worth exploring. An hour's drive away Oban is not only the departure point for boat excursions to 'the Isles' but also home to a sealife centre and rare breeds park. Colintraive (9 miles) offers a pub serving good food and there is a summer shop (limited opening hours) adjacent to Home Farm.
