" I used the holiday home for the weekend to celebrate a milestone birthday with friends. The accommodation is wonderful to enjoy warm weather in the garden is a good size and the boating at the end of the road was brilliant fun also the beach just 100m or so away is fantastic - definitely the warmest costal waters I have swam in the UK. The kitchen is very well equipped with no need for you to bring any extra paraphernalia. The bedrooms were all a very good size and the bunk room would be good as a children's dormitory. All in all we would thoroughly recommend the holiday home. "

" A brilliant house for a large group of people with lots of child friendly features like a toy box sand pit and dressing up box which helped to keep the youngsters happy. The huge table (which converted into a pool table for after-dinner fun) was a great asset - we seated 14 comfortably for a special meal with matching china for all. A perfect weekend break! "

" Wow - this is a beautiful house kept in great condition with all the facilities you might imagine you'd need! There is a height quality of design and furnishings though the house - with extra touches like an ice machine spa baths a box of fancy dress clothes and open fireplace. 12 of us and a dog stayed here for a weekend in October and there was more than enough room for everyone. The area is also really lovely and Mill House is only a few minutes walk from the beach. Only thing I would say is that the village shop doesn't open very much so make sure you stock up before you go. Oh - and we couldn't find anywhere to recycle glass so had to bring it all home with us. "

A splendid location very quiet but only a short walk to the sea and down the road from Aldeburgh. It was ideal for a big family weekend which included seven children. We had a superb time! "

" The whole cottage was decorated and furnished to a very high standard. We stayed with a one year old and it was very safe for her to crawl around in. The location is absolutely beautiful although there are no shops in walking distance. However Bakewell is only a short drive away and the pub is just around the corner from the cottage. " We all had the most amazing weekend at The Mill House in Thorpeness with it's wonderful scenery. It was the most fantastic house to stay in and so well equipped. " This is a fantastic place, it is a very well equipped and it is a very interesting house, with staircases, balconies, a giant window which gives a good view of the house in the clouds opposite. The main seating area easily takes 8 people, and there's a TV, sofa, computer and DVD player in a separate chill out room. The bedrooms all have a different theme, there were 3 doubles, 2 twin and a room with two bunk beds. The kitchen and utility areas are big enough to make catering for lots fairly easy as is the dining room with the small snooker table. There is easy parking for 3 or 4 cars, and maybe 6 could be squeezed in with care ... It's a short stroll to the meare and only a few minutes more to the (mainly stony beach), there's several places to eat. The local (gastro-)pub is good, and well deserving of it's reputation as mentioned in the visitors book. The garden is large, and would be great in the summer. The only drawback is that being an older 'character' place, is that the plumbing is a bit noisy, and it is difficult for someone to get up early and not wake up others in the house, and the showers were a little 'weak', but these are all very minor flaws. We would all be happy to go back again! "
