Dovedale in the Peak District Alton Towers Drayton Manor The Potteries and Tamworth Snowdome are all under ½ hour's drive as are Calke Abbey Sudbury Hall and Shugborough (all N.T.). Ironbridge Gorge museums and the NEC are an hour's drive.
