Ideally located for year round visits Alwick's many shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants are close by while the Northumberland coast with its long sandy beaches and pretty seaside villages like Alnmouth and Craster are a 10 minute drive. Warkworth with its imposing castle, quaint shops and cafes is a 8 mile drive. Northumberland National Park is worth exploring and is just 17 miles away while the ports of Amble and Seahouses, Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island and Cragside House (NT) are all within a 30 minute drive.

" My family and I had a wonderful stay at this lovely house in October. Do not be put off by the outside of the house in the picture (as we initialy were), the inside is beautifully decorated with every immaginable convenience to make your holiday go smoothly. Alnwick is a lovely town, and being within 2 minutes walk of Harry Potter's castle was such a thrill for my 3 year old son. I would definitely recommend a visit to Lilburns for a meal - but make sure you book. We were lucky enough to get the last free table on a Thursday night, what a fabulous meal and value for money too. "
