" We have just returned from a week’s stay at Ysgubor, one of a pair of cottages within a converted barn, in the Ceiriog valley near Llangollen in Wales.
What an absolute gem! The cottage has been sympathetically restored with lots of wooden beams & stone walls, however the accommodation couldn’t have been more comfortable, a wood burning stove in the living area, a kitchen with a large dining table & bedrooms with big comfortable beds! The owners are welcoming & have clearly thought of everything, every time we looked for something it was there! Best of all was the large decking area & hot tub to the rear of the cottage, with views up the valley. Magnificent sunsets with the swallows diving overhead were enjoyed every night. The valley itself is beautiful, the cottage is located on a working farm approximately 2 miles from Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog, within the Ceiriog Valley. You are surrounded by mountains on all sides & really do feel like you have got away from it all. Take a walk from Ysgubor up through the valley to see the series of waterfalls which eventually run down to feed the stream in front of the cottage, it’s well worth the effort! Highly recommended – we will definitely stay again. "

" We would highly recommend Berwyn Barns to anyone with or without children. We were made to feel extremely welcome by the owners and the children loved watching the sheep shearing, roaming the hills and playing on the swings! The cottage was beautiful and so clean. The hot tub with a view would be hard to beat. Lots of interesting places to visit close by and great pubs in the village a short drive away. "
