The dining room has a feature fireplace and the first floor living room with original wide floorboards enjoys woodland views. The Derwent Valley is now a World Heritage site once the hub of the Industrial Revolution but all now quiet mill buildings amidst lovely tranquil wooded countryside. The High Peak Trail 0.5 miles offers a cycle route to the limestone Dales. (Cycle hire 2 miles). Discovery Days are held locally throughout the year. Matlock Bath 2 miles, Crich Tramway Museum and Carsington Water 5 miles Chatsworth House and Bakewell 8 miles. Alton Towers 45-minute drive. Golf and swimming pool 3 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
