Heatherdene is a Grade II listed stone cottage with views of Swaledale from every window. Tastefully decorated and furnished throughout, this is the ideal place to get away from it all.

Situated on common land, the doors of Heatherdene open straight onto the moor from where you can walk for miles on the network of footpaths and bridleways around. There is an OS map centred on Heatherdene on the hall wall to help you plan your excursions in some of the country’s most beautiful landscapes.

Internally, Heatherdene has been lovingly restored to provide luxury holiday accommodation. The sitting room has large comfortable sofas, underfloor heating and a wood burning stove for warmth and relaxation. It is a delight to prepare meals in the well-planned, well-equipped kitchen with an electric Aga and large corner fridge for storing enough food and drink for the duration of your stay. Hypnos mattresses and 100% Egyptian cotton sheets ensure a good night’s sleep and, should you bring any work away with you, there is WiFi and a desk with USB charger on the landing.

Despite the feeling of getting off the beaten track, Heatherdene has a gastro pub at the bottom of the hill and plenty of lovely things to do and see within a 20-mile radius. Reeth is four miles away and the popular towns of Leyburn and Richmond are approximately a 30 minute drive from Heatherdene and well worth a visit.
