This area has long been known to the fishing fraternity, with both river and local lochs, providing great sport. Some of the best fish in the world are landed in Buckie and Whitehills and are available to purchase on the quaysides – or you could sample a bowl of Cullen Skink, the local fish soup which is utterly delicious! The old market town of Huntly is eight miles away, providing shopping, eateries and entertainment. The Cairngorm National Park is within easy driving distance, as are the cities of Aberdeen and Inverness for alternative days out.
