On the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds there are dining pubs, restaurants, takeaways, shops and cafe within 1 mile. The Medieval city of York with superb visitor attractions and designer shopping is 15 miles and The Deep aquarium is 25 miles. Sandy beaches at Bridlington and Scarborough, the house of Sledmere, Nunnington Hall (NT) and Castle Howard and the steam trains across the Yorkshire Moors from Pickering are within an hour's drive. Horse riding 200 yards, golf 6 miles and fishing 5 miles.

Fir Tree Lodge (Flamborough ) - Fir Tree Lodge is a luxury detached log cabin, nestling within a small development on the edge of the prestigious Links Golf Course between Sewerby, Flamborough and Bridlington. Folly Lodge (Sewerby ) - This lodge is on a small, well kept site of similar lodges, ideally placed between Sewerby Hall & Gardens and the Bridlington Links Golf Club, just a 5 minute walk from the cliff top with access to the beach just a ten minute walk away. Furnished to a high standard in contemporary style it provides a very warm and comfortable retreat in which to relax and discover the delights of the Heritage Coastline. The Golf Club facilities are open to non-members, including a new fitness centre with daily and weekly membership and an excellent bar and restaurant for you to relax Entry to Sewerby Hall and Gardens is accessible straight from the grounds and there is an excellent tea shop, children’s zoo, and miniature train taking you into Bridlington. The RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs provide spectacular views of puffins, gannets, and guillemot, particularly in spring when they are nesting, and puffin trips by boat are available from Bridlington. There are excellent walks and cycle routes to Danes Dyke and Flamborough along the coastal path.
