The traditional seaside resort of Weston-Super-Mare is within easy driving distance too and provides an even wider range of beaches, water sports, restaurants and shops, as well as the Playhouse Theatre and Winter Gardens. The Exmoor National Park is also relatively close, offering great opportunities for walking and cycling.

Jonswood (Watchfield ) - With the legendary beauty of the Somerset Levels almost on the doorstep and the gorgeous sandy beaches of Burmham-on-Sea and Brean only a few miles away this newly built and very stylish lodge makes an ideal holiday base. Boasting its own tennis court and fitness room it sits in the interesting hamlet of Watchfield within easy reach of the area's famous attractions including the caves and cliffs at Cheddar Gorge underground rivers and pools at Wookey Hole Clarks Shopping Village at Street Glastonbury Tor and the lovely cathedral and Bishop's Palace at Wells whilst the elegant city of Bath is a little further afield. Broadway House (Cheddar ) - This David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation park is set in the heart of Somerset sheltered by the Mendip Hills one mile from Cheddar Gorge offering archery shooting abseiling canoeing and caving.

Four Jays Cottage (Banwell ) - This smart barn re-development is set in the delightful fringe of the Mendip Hills just 5 miles from the Promenade pier and sandy beach and Seaquarium of Weston-Super-Mare. Within easy reach of Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Wookey Hole, Wells with its magnificent cathedral, Clarke's renowned shopping village at Street and NT properties at Clevedon Court, Tyntesfield and Montacute House.
