More about Wragg Barn

Wragg Barn is one of six converted former farm buildings which are set around a courtyard on a traditional working family farm near Over Haddon, Bakewell in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Benefiting from an elevated position the location offers superb panoramic countryside views across the stunning Peak District scenery and an abundance of walks direct from the door, with further opportunities nearby for cycling, horse riding and rock climbing. Sleeping eight people the cottage can be booked independently or together with the others on the site, making it perfect for couples, families, or larger groups with children (and grown ups!).

Over Haddon itself is a quaint Peak District village which offers a traditional 19th Century pub and award-winning café, and makes a perfect base to explore the spectacular limestone dales of the beautiful Lathkill Dale. In addition the high quality independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants of the popular historic market town of Bakewell can be easily reached in around five minutes. Baslow, 4 miles from Bakewell, is home to the exceptional Chatsworth House and gardens or visit the medieval manor house of Haddon Hall. You can also join the traffic free Monsal Trail for walking or cycling. Nearby Peak District villages include Ashford in the Water and Rowsley and you can reach the spa town of Buxton, Castleton with its caves, Matlock and Carsington Water in around half an hour. The UK’s premier theme park Alton Towers is around a 45 minute drive.

Wragg Barn can be booked together with Brendan Cottage (CC412119), Haddon Cottage (CC412120), Lathkill Barn (CC412121), Monsal Cottage (CC412122) and Ashford Cottage (CC412123) to accommodate up to 23 guests.

Ground Floor: The property has one step to the entrance, gas central heating and comprises:
Lounge: With Freeview TV, DVD player and CD player.
Kitchen/dining room: With tiled floor, electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. First Floor: Bedroom 1: With double bed and en-suite with shower and WC.
Bedroom 2:
With double bed.
Bedroom 3: With twin beds.
Bedroom 4: With twin beds.
Bathroom: With shower over bath and WC.

All gas, electric, bed linen and towels included. Two travel cots and a highchair available on request. Shared external utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer. Wi-Fi. Shared lawned garden with sitting-out area and furniture. Parking (3 cars). No smoking.
