This annex property is located in the hill village of Middleton by Wirksworth and is attached to the owner’s property which is set in 3/4 of an acre of gardens and woodland adjacent to the High Peak Trail and within one mile of Wirksworth. The cottage garden attracts many birds and is great for bird watching from the windows. Only a few hundred yards from the Middleton top visitors centre with its historical engine house; the cottage overlooks Black Rock, an interesting landmark close to Cromford with an abundance of walks and cycle routes as well as some truly stunning views from the top of the rocks. Two excellent local country pubs in Middleton by Wirksworth offer food and a range of live music within a few minutes walk. Cromford is home of the Arkwright Museum and has a good shopping outlet centre on site, as well as a number of working mills showing how the textiles were produced years ago.
