This delightful holiday home is set in the grounds of the owner's home, Bainesbury House, and has been furnished to a very good standard. The ground floor is open plan, with bi-folding doors all along one side overlooking the neatly lawned garden, which is the perfect place to enjoy an alfresco supper in the summer. The Lodge at Bainesbury House also features a wood burner, so is great for the cooler evenings. This holiday home is set in a rural location, in the village of Stratton-on-the-Fosse, which is home to the Grade I listed Downside Abbey. It is also very close to the famous Babington House only 3 miles away. The heritage city of Bath is only a short distance away with its Roman Baths and pump rooms and the award-winning Thermae Bath Spa. The mystical town of Glastonbury with its famous abbey and tor, and the smallest city of Wells, with its magnificent cathedral and Bishops' Palace, are all close by. Fishing nearby. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
