The beach in Kilmuckridge is known as the Golden Mile because of the soft golden sands and dunes and is situated just off the coast road between the seaside villages of Blackwater (4 miles) and Kilmuckridge (3 miles). The town of Wexford (16 miles), is famous for its annual opera festival and offers a variety of shops and restaurants. The John F Kennedy Arboretum in New Ross contains a vast collection of trees and shrubs. Golf, fishing, water sports and horse riding locally, and for walkers, the Wexford Coastal Path is great for exploring this scenic area.
