Perfect for couples looking for a city break, Hunter House apartment is furnished and equipped to a very high standard, providing visitors with a relaxing base to return to after a day out discovering the delights of York. The city appeals throughout the entire year with the Jorvik Viking festival in February through to the Christmas markets and carol concerts in December and an abundance of attractions to visit in between. It is a cobbled world of contrasts with a wonderful mixture of old and new; exquisite architecture and narrow streets packed with independent shops and high street favourites. Visit the York Art Gallery, Museum Gardens and the Railway Museum, step back in time at Barley Hall and the Castle Museum and climb to the top of Clifford's Tower and the Minster for stunning views across the city and surrounding countryside. There are restaurants, inns and traditional teashops to suit all tastes with the famous Betty's Cafe being a favourite. Days out can be enjoyed visiting stately homes at Castle Howard and Beningbrough Hall whilst the North York Moors, the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the coastal resorts of Whitby and Scarborough are all easily accessible.
