If you have a dog and you want to bring them with you on your holiday in Cornwall then... Great news! The Owl welcomes dogs. Often cottage owners have some restrictions on where your dog can roam in the property and there may be a small extra charge. However, there is no reason why your pet needs to miss out on the family holiday.
Only two miles inland from the picturesque South Coast and three miles from the historic fishing villages of Looe and Polperro, this spacious double glazed barn conversion is situated in the small hamlet of Ashen Cross just outside the village of Pelynt. Set to one side of the courtyard, a dozen wide railed steps lead up from the parking area with space for a car and trailer, to the front door which opens into a pleasantly furnished, very spacious open-plan living room.
There is a smart fitted kitchen area with a slate floor, a dining suite, comfortable seating, with a sofa bed as a sleeping alternative and a high pine-clad ceiling which adds to the feeling of space. French Windows open to a private fully enclosed garden and patio at the rear, and the owners also invite visitors to explore their private gardens of two acres including two fresh water lakes of half an acre, with a summer house where visitors can watch the activities of the birds and wildlife that inhabit this lakeside environment. To complete the accommodation, a large bedroom has a kingsize bed and pine furniture with an en-suite bathroom W. C. with hand basin and shower over the bath, and there is also a shared laundry room in the courtyard. The village of Pelynt, half a mile, has a pub which offers food, small shops, post office and a church.
The south facing beach and coastal footpath at Talland Bay is two miles and the area is surrounded by woodland with forest trails and picnic areas.
The Eden Project is within a 30 minute drive.
