Oristano - The best time to see pink flamingos in the wetlands of Sinis is during the breeding and nest building season. This runs from June through until September. Some of the best places to see them include the Cabras lagoon, Mistras lagoon, Sale Porcus oasis and the beautiful oasis of S'Ena Arrubia.

Tharros - was an ancient city on the west coast of Sardinia and is currently an archaeological site near the village of San Giovanni di Sinis, Oristano. It is located on the southern coastline of the Sinis peninsula and offers an impressive array of Roman archaeological remains.
