    Local Area

This is a landscape steeped in ancient religion and early Christianity - make time to visit the mystical Torhouse Bronze Age stone circle and the 'Wren's Egg' standing stones near Monreith - easily accessible from our holiday parks in Wigtownshire. And the bay where the saint is said to have first set foot in Scotland is where you'll find St Ninian's Cave. The chapel dedicated to the saint lies in the Isle of Whithorn, a gorgeous little village lying at the southern tip of The Machars. No longer an island, it still boasts a very picturesque working harbour.

We had a fantastic week at Luce Bay Holiday Park. We received a warm welcome on arrival and the staff were very helpful all week. The sea view from the park was stunning and there was plenty of interesting towns and attractions to visit in and around Dumfries and Galloway. We particularly enjoyed Wigtown and the Mull of Galloway.

I would definately recommend the Luce Bay Holiday Park for numerous reasons including the location, views, staff and the accommodation itself. This is what caravanning is all about; peace and quiet, somewhere lovely to relax and forget about everything back home - bliss!!!

A good, quiet park in the country, yet only 3 miles from Ayr with good shopping facilities and very good, clean, sandy beaches (parking free on the sea front). Also close to Girvan and Largs for days out.

I cannot recommend this park highly enough. I have been on a number of Hoseasons holidays and this was by far the best. The caravan was immaculate and the park was attractively laid out and well-maintained. The location was excellent and I found the staff very friendly. I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE!!!
