This good sized detached stone cottage with beautiful large multi-tiered garden and farmhouse-style kitchen, is located in Hayfield, a picturesque, historic village renowned for its high quality gourmet public houses and more recently as the set for BBC's popular drama ‘The Village'. The village also has a fish and chip shop and a cafe. Right on the edge of the Peak District National Park, this holiday property is ideal for both walkers and cyclists alike, being situated at the foot of the Kinder Scout, a traditional starting point for the Pennine Way and Sett Valley Trail. Surrounded by outstanding scenery, Twenty Trees and Bluebell Wood Nature Reserves are right on the doorstep, and the famous market town of Chapel-en-le-Frith can be reached in 10 minutes. Lyme Park, the Hope Valley and caves of Castleton, and the spa town of Buxton with its famous opera house, museums and shops are just 20 minutes away, and the hugely popular market town of Bakewell, famous for its puddings, can be easily reached within 40 minutes. The magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth Estate and Haddon Hall are both easily accessible, and more locally, Hayfield itself even hosts its own annual events including the popular country show and sheepdog trials, well dressing and carnival 'May Queen' and the three day music festival, Hayfest. Shop 250 yards, pub serving food 300 yards.

Many people prefer to book a detached property for their holiday. Grey Beck is detached which makes it ideal for extra peace and quiet. It is also beneficial to have a detached property if you are bringing your dog as they are less likely to be disturbed or disturb the neigbours.
