This pretty, traditionally-built, adjoining period holiday cottage is ideally located for exploring the north Norfolk coast and countryside. The area is famous for its natural sandy beaches, numerous National Trust properties, stately homes, RSPB bird-watching spots and outstanding nature reserves. Tucked away in a quiet corner of Hindolveston, experience village life at its best, so quiet, friendly and unhurried, the perfect place to relax and unwind in. The living room is cosy with a traditional open fire, comfy chairs and a leather sofa. During the winter months, a basket of logs is provided so guests can enjoy nights by the fire. The living room also has a music system, TV, DVD, games, puzzles and books for guests’ enjoyment. The cottage itself has a large and light kitchen with electric oven and gas hob, large fridge/freezer, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine. The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of crockery and kitchen equipment. With a pine table at one end, there is plenty of room to entertain. There are two bedrooms upstairs, one large double with wrought iron bed and one twin. Both rooms offer beautiful views across the fields and cottage garden. The cottage also benefits from a lovely garden room to relax in and enjoy the view whatever the weather, or to sit with a glass of wine, a good book and absorb the peace and quiet of village life. The garden is very pretty, with some well-established cottage garden flowers, and is an absolute haven for the birds. The garden has two ponds of various sizes, one of which is home to a few fish. There is a summer house in one corner providing a good place to sit and enjoy the garden. The garden is enclosed and there is parking on the drive for 1 car.
The cottage is in a good location for exploring the best stretches of the north Norfolk coastline, and is only a short drive from the quaint coastal town of Blakeney and close to Wells with its outstanding sandy beach. There are miles of heritage coastline, with creeks, marshes, cliffs, beaches and dunes to explore. Discover Holkham and Blakeney National Nature Reserves, including the renowned Blakeney Point, which are both ideal for bird and seal watching. Visit Cley Marshes, Titchwell Marsh and Snettisham Nature Reserves, and Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, which is only 14 minutes drive from the cottage. There are plenty of historical places to visit, with Sandringham Estate, Holkham Hall, Houghton Hall, Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall all within easy reach. The Norfolk Coastal Path stretches for miles and there are many delightful cycle rides, including Peddars Way, which passes to the west of the cottage through Harpley, Docking and Sedgeford to Hunstanton, where it joins the Norfolk Coastal Path. The Poppy Line Steam Railway and Norfolk Broads are within easy reach. The renowned village of Holt is only 6 miles away with its cafes, boutiques, galleries and antique shops. Horse riding, horse racing and golf are all within easy reach.
