The nearby wetlands offer wonderful birdwatching and myriad footpaths afford lovely country walks. Visitor Reviews

" Our recent stay at the Lanterns was our first holiday in the Uk and our first in a rented property. I dont know where to start so I will be very brief WOW....what a fantastic time we had. Lanterns is a 5 star property with 5 star owners. What you see in the brochure is even better in real life. If our home was as well equipped we would never go away. The surrounding area is beautiful with lots to see and do. Both Glenda and John are welcoming and mines of information. We have , in fact, already booked our return for next year. If you want a fantastic break then do book the Lanterns "

Mr C Hampshire

" This was a lovely cottage for 'non-wheelchair users! It was very well equipped & comfortable - with helpful owners & plenty to do in the surrounding area. "

Mrs R Middlesex

" A fantastic location close to Rye and Hastings with its superb visitor attractiions there is much to do in the area. As only a one bedroom property would recommend to couples looking for a relaxing break and for those who love their wine there are about five vineyards all within about 10 miles of the property. "

Mr C Hampshire

" We celebrated our three weeks holiday in GB. "The Lanterns" was the last of the 3 cottages we stayed in and obviously we saved the best for last. The luxurious cottage, the area and the beautiful villages near by it all completed our stay and helped us to recommend "The Lanterns" to our friends and relatives. "

Mr D Niedersaksen

" Fantastic comfortable cottage, wonderfully well equipped, in a great location. Highly recommended. "

Mr M Kent

" Everything you could want in the kitchen area. Great shower. "

Mr W Surrey

" Our first impression of the cottage was the cleanliness, comfort and homely feel. It had an authentic 'cottage' feel with all the mod cons. John and Glenda made us feel very welcome and our weekend was perfect. We wandered into Rye and had a lovely roast too, recommended by some of the locals. Thank you for making our weekend special and we shall hopefully see you again soon! "

Mr P Bromley

" A fabulous Easter weekend. The cottage is absolutely wonderful, and everything possible has been thought of. Our dog loved his first holiday away as well - you made him very welcome. Thank you John & Glenda, we will recommend our stay here to our friends. "
