More about The Old Post Office

Have you grown weary of the pared back Scandi-look? Well, this colourful, artistic and rather lush former post office has boho-chic in abundance, reflecting the personality of its well-travelled creative owner, and could well be just the place for you to relax and take a break.

An interesting, characterful period property, The Old Post Office has been extended and refurbished and now provides comfortable, modern living with panache and the odd twist. Late Georgian in the main, the house has well proportioned rooms that are light with good-sized windows. One of the most striking features is an entire flint wall within the dining area that houses a 12th Century Normandy limestone column from the local Priory that was found under the house. The original shop window is still there and is often used to display artworks from a local gallery (this room is not available to guests, though the artworks are available to purchase!).

The heart of the house is the lovely light-filled kitchen with adjoining dining and living area where bi-fold doors run the length of the wall and overlook the enclosed garden. To the side is a cosy sitting room with wood burning stove, just made for relaxing and chatting after a busy day out exploring this beautiful part of North Norfolk. Upstairs there are three spacious bedrooms (super-king, super king/twin and king-size/twin) and two bathrooms, one of which is en-suite.

Binham is a wonderful historic village with Binham Priory, a 12th Century monastery built by William the Conqueror's nephew, at its centre. Just under two miles away from the coast, it is a calm, peaceful oasis away from all the hustle and bustle, with the advantage of good local amenities. The Old Post Office is a very charming property that couples, friends and families will enjoy around the year, providing a wonderful base whatever the reason for your holiday. Perfect for walking, bird watching, cycling, visiting historical houses, spending time on the beach or just kicking back and taking time out from normal every day life.

Additional Information:
Two well-behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge).
Both the master bedroom and bedroom three can be made up to super-king or twin. Please state which option preferred on booking.
