Nestled in the heart of rural North Norfolk, and only a ten minute drive away from its glorious coastline, you will find this lovely house, offering up-to-date contemporary living with all the convenience and creature comforts it affords. A fine find and a restful retreat to retire to after busy days exploring the many Norfolk delights to be found both right on the doorstep and further afield.
Built in 2020 and forming part of the prestigious Priory Mews enclave of properties designed by an award-winning firm of Norwich architects, Schaels Retreat is the perfect union of farmhouse-style heritage and modern-day luxury. Being one of only a handful of houses on the small development that embraces the traditional local flint frontage, once you are inside the house the overall ambience is one of relaxation, comfort and plenty of natural light. Predominantly open-plan on the ground floor with a very spacious and comfortable sitting room overlooking the garden on two sides, with french doors to open on sunny days and a large wood burning stove to light and boost the warmth on chilly ones. Turn the corner into the dining area and enjoy a meal at the table, sitting beside full length windows and a second set french doors that also lead into the garden, or take a seat at the breakfast bar for a quick snack or drink and chat while lunch or supper is being prepared in the fully-fitted well-equipped kitchen - keen cooks will sigh with delight on sight! If you are partial to a chilled glass of wine, there's a wine fridge too - why not try a delicious glass of Norfolk wine while you're here? Upstairs you'll find three dreamy bedrooms (two king-size and one double) and two smart bathrooms, one of which is en-suite. Outside you can enjoy summer days spent in the large fully enclosed rear south facing garden that will catch the sun's rays all day long and ensure that children and dogs with a wanderlust are kept safely in check.
Schaels Retreat is a fabulous bolt hole for couples, friends and families who enjoy the benefits of modern living within a peaceful and charming village environment; being able to take some lovely walks or bike rides from outside the front door, call into the local pub for a delicious meal or to sample craft ales, buy provisions from the handy village store, try some of the local raw milk and cheese from The Little Dairy Shop or perhaps take a wander around the ruins of the village Priory. And that's all before you've explored the beauty of the coast and the many other attractions on offer in this pretty as a picture part of North Norfolk. Phew! so much to do!
