The Cattle Shed is the place we all dream of for a truly divine getaway. If relaxing under the stars with a glass of fizz while luxuriating in a private hot tub or taking dip in the lake and then relaxing looking over the fields stretching down to Start Bay is not enough to help your worries melt away, then on the doorstep are beautiful scenic walks, village pubs, stunning coastal scenery, historic towns, and a gorgeous bath for the end of the day! In the depths of winter this five star luxury retreat is just as appealing the warm glow from beautiful hand made light fittings that envelopes you in a warm relaxing glow while the log burner flickers away, and of course the hot tub is just as superb on a cold crisp day, enjoying this fantastic haven from everyday life. The Cattle Shed is nestled in the countryside above the pretty village of Chillington, if you can tear yourself away from this idyllic retreat and all its amenities you will find the bustling market town of Kingsbridge a short drive away, with shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and a cinema. Salcombe, well known with sailing enthusiasts, is just a little further on, and can also be accessed on the foot ferry from East Portlemouth. The villages of Chillington and Stokenham are also close by, both offering good pubs. Chillington has a village shop and there is a well stocked farm shop with cafe just past Stokenham. The huge expanse of beach at Torcross is four miles away, from here meander along the scenic coast road to the historic town of Dartmouth a thirty minute drive away which has many amenities to entertain all ages. The South West Coast Path is within easy reach and many countryside walks can be accessed directly from the property, along the bridle path to Start and on to popular Slapton village with pretty village pubs and the picturesque Slapton Ley Nature Reserve. Please note The Cattle Shed is not suitable for children under the age of 16.
