Just a short stroll from the open Forest, the historic Old Post Office, which served the local community from 1885 for 125 years, has been recently renovated to provide a tastefully decorated, comfortable holiday home for up to eight guests. With beautiful forest walks right from the doorstep, this dog-friendly property is an ideal base for all the family to enjoy. Situated on a quiet lane, the open plan downstairs is the hub of The Old Post Office, with a cosy log burner for those out of season breaks. For the warmer seasons, bi-fold doors open onto the dining terrace with far reaching views of the countryside beyond. Upstairs is a second sitting room giving a separate space for reading or watching TV. Four bedrooms, two with en-suite facilities, a further family bathroom and a utility room complete this thoughtfully finished holiday home. Nearby Lyndhurst has a wide range of independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and is just a short drive away to stock up on any holiday essentials. The New Forest National Park, with its free-roaming ponies, and miles of walking and cycle tracks, surrounds this convenient spot, and bikes can be hired locally. The Georgian market town of Lymington is within easy travelling distance, where you can catch a ferry to the Isle of Wight for an exciting day out! The closest beaches are just 20 minutes away and other local attractions include Beaulieu Motor Museum and Paultons Park home of Peppa Pig World. REDUCED OCCUPANCY discount is available in low season for 4 guests or less for week-long bookings. A choice of 2 bedrooms is offered.
