If you are looking for somewhere rather exclusive and extremely private to escape to for a short break or longer stay, then the privately-owned Fring Estate with its two gorgeous cottages enclosed within a sublime two-acre walled garden setting makes this a special retreat.
Positioned amongst pretty woodland and parkland you also have use of a tennis court and swimming pool from 1st May to 30th September.
You will adore the woodland, parkland and wildlife which is in abundance and the total peace and seclusion although you are also only a short drive from some of North Norfolk’s best beaches at Brancaster and Old Hunstanton and some of Norfolk’s loveliest villages such as Burnham Market and Thornham.
The two cottages enjoy the same laidback rustic style and come with a shared garden separated by a hedge and gate so you can be as private or as accessible to the rest of your party as you so wish. With a total of seven bedrooms and four bathrooms, 3 sitting rooms and 2 large terraces which are all south facing, there are lots of options for where to eat and mingle. Gardeners Cottage sleeps 10 whilst Park Cottage sleeps 6, both have good size kitchens and dining areas when everyone wants to come together. And there is a very large table in gardener’s and outside too so everyone can dine together inside or out. All beds in all the properties are dressed in crisp white linens and the quality mattresses and pillows will ensure you have a good night’s sleep.
Park Cottage also has a games room with table tennis and bike racks for those keen to explore the area by bicycle, but if you don’t want to bring yours, then the Fring Estate can provide bike hire on request. Both properties have outdoor seating areas as well as BBQ’s. From May 2020, guests will have use of the heated outdoor swimming pool along with a tennis court –ideal when you don't want to go to the beach.
When you're not on foot exploring the parkland or cycling the quiet lanes, then drive to the beaches at Old Hunstanton, Brancaster or Wells. For the more adventurous, head to Hunstanton Water Sports centre or discover the wildlife at Pensthorpe, Snettisham Park Farm or the RSPB reserves at Titchwell or Snettisham.

The parkland outside the walled garden and behind fences is private.
Bike rental is available by arrangement with the owner and offers you a great option for exploring the local area both on road or trail. With mountain bikes and road bikes to choose from as well as children’s bikes and trailers this is a great opportunity not to have to pack and bring them with you. Details of how to pre-book your bikes will be contained in the arrival guide.
Up to four well-behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge).
The duvets and pillows are feather.
Swimming pool and tennis court are open from 1st May to 30th September 10am to 4pm. They are shared by guests at all the properties.

Plus there is also the romantic Little Potting Shed set into the wall of the two-acre garden which offers a romantic hideaway setting, perfect for lovebirds wanting quiet time together.
Accessed via golf buggy and set into the wall of the Walled Garden, it also offers outside bathing in an old fashioned bath tub (and yes there is hot water!)
