A relaxing, peaceful and romantic retreat in the village of High Kelling on the outskirts of the lovely Georgian town of Holt. Simply perfect for getting away from it all; enjoying coastal and country walks; some great beaches and cafe culture and just relaxing.
Small, but perfectly formed, Chez Marguerite is a charming, bespoke Shepherd's Hut, with solid oak interior and is set within the owner's idyllic, pretty woodland garden. With wool insulation, double glazing, a wood burning stove (logs included), as well as electric heaters, you are sure to be warm and cosy all year round. The hut has been beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished, with great attention to detail to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There is a small kitchen, with double induction hob, half size butler's sink, kettle and fridge, along with a table and seating for two. A selection of breakfast goodies is provided. The raised double bed has wonderful, uninterrupted views across the private garden, and there's even room for a small bathroom with shower cubicle.
Outside, take a seat, watch the birds and listen to their song. In the evening, light the fire pit and pour a glass of wine after a busy day out and about exploring this lovely part of North Norfolk.
Chez Marguerite is a very romantic hideaway, and has been known to witness a proposal or two on bended knee, and celebrate an anniversary or three! It's equally suited to someone wishing to holiday alone, and makes for a fabulous creative retreat for painters, writers and photographers.
