The Stables is one of two adjacent cottages that have recently been fully refurbished to create a tasteful mix of period features with contemporary furnishings. The property sits at the heart of the charming village of Minchinhampton, yet is hidden away behind its own private gate.

Minchinhampton is a picturesque limestone Cotswold village nestled on the Cotswold escarpment. Surrounding the village is Minchinhampton Common, a large expanse of open ground with superb views of the Stroud valley. In the summer months, cows roam freely on the common and occasionally wander into the village streets.
The Stables is one half of a refurbished Cotswold stone working building, and has been refurbished to reflect its working heritage, along with contemporary fittings and furnishings. The entrance to The Stables is via a covered, cobblestoned cart shed, where there’s also a large dining table and chairs for guests at both The Stables and The Coach House to use - perfect for an al fresco meal.
Inside the property is a well-equipped kitchen and dining room, complete with all mod cons like a Nespresso machine, and a dining table with chairs for six. The sitting room has a large, wall-mounted Smart TV, and you’ll find some charming touches throughout, including a restored hay manger and a window seat. There’s under floor heating in every room on the ground floor. Upstairs, the property has two bedrooms, both with en-suites. The stables theme continues, with one of the bedrooms having reclaimed saddle holders as clothes rails, as well as a wire locker wardrobe. One of the en-suites features a large walk in shower, while the other has a roll top bath.
During your stay, you’ll have access to part of the large and fully enclosed garden, and you’ll be able to book the hard surface tennis court too should you wish.
