Please note Lilac Cottage is not suitable for children under the age of 8. Lilac Cottage is an extremely well presented property nestled in the tranquil hamlet of Ford, one mile from the picturesque village of South Pool and not far from Start Bay and the Salcombe estuary. This five star cottage has been beautifully refurbished both inside and out. Stylish and comfortable, the living room has a log burner, perfect for those spring and autumn evenings after exploring all this the lovely area has to offer. There is a small private patio at the rear of the property and across the quiet lane a raised lawned area complete with summer house and superb views over the countryside and through the valley to South Pool providing a perfect spot to relax, unwind and watch the sun go down with a chilled glass of wine. The hamlet of Ford is in the heart of the South Hams. Easy access to the main Kingsbridge to Dartmouth coast road makes exploring both these historic towns and all the quintessential villages in between easy. The South West Coast Path is 2 miles away providing some stunning walks, whether you wish to start in Prawle, Beesands or East Portlemouth with suitable stops for refreshments along the way. Pretty South Pool with the popular gastro pub The Millbrook Inn and estuary access is a 1 mile meander along a country lane (although this road is designed for motor vehicles it is not recommended to take vehicles along it, alternative route is two miles).
