Woodpecker Cottage is a delightful little hideaway, close to the village of Stokenham and set deep in Devon countryside up a narrow wooded lane, bordered by fields and farmland. The village, a 7 minute walk away, has two excellent pubs, both well known for good food, a thriving church, a farm shop and the wonderful shingle beach of Slapton Sands at Torcross a mile further on. The cottage, a recent conversion, is fresh and bright, is most attractively furnished and provides a perfect base to explore the miles of cliff walks around Start Point, golden sandy coves and beaches close by (one for each day of the week), bird watching at Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve, horse riding and golf are all within easy distance. Please note: This property may be suitable for those with walking disabilities. During low season alternative changeover days can be accommodated-Please call our friendly team for assistance.
