The quiet village of Wookey at the foot of the Mendip Hills is home to The Old Cider Barn. There is much to see and do in this picturesque region, from stunning limestone gorges and caves to the wetlands of the Somerset Levels and the spectacular northern coastline. A perfect base for exploring this diverse area, The Old Cider has been well designed and finished to a high standard, This charming cottage is light and spacious throughout with wooden floors and a handsome bespoke staircase. A selection of paintings by local artists adds to the ambience of the cottage which comprises a large lounge, well equipped kitchen/diner, two bedrooms and a family bathroom. Enjoy a BBQ in the small courtyard garden, or if you don't feel like cooking the cosy, child-friendly 16th century Ring O' Bells pub is just a short walk from the cottage, and serves home cooked meals.
On nice days, when you want to relax you can sit out in The Old Cider Barn's garden and enjoy the sun shine. Children also love the outdoors so it can be a great place for them. Although, with young children you should always check any garden is safe for them.
