The Retreat is less than two miles from the A303 but completely tranquil, and this one-bed annex is easy to find in the rolling rural countryside on the Dorset and Somerset border. Not far from Cranborne Chase AONB and Shaftesbury, this compact annex has all a couple needs for a short stay while attending a celebration or for a longer period, exploring the rolling hills of Blackmore Vale. This property is also perfectly placed for exploring further afield. In under an hour you can drive to the Cerne Abbas Giant, the famously detailed chalk figure, Stonehenge, or Bath. Nearer to hand is the city of Shaftesbury with its Gold Hill, the cobbled street which achieved fame as a typically northern street in the Hovis television adverts. The Retreat is a lovely romantic retreat for two.
