Tucked away on the outskirts of the pretty village of Tedburn St Mary is Great Huish Farm. Approximately seven miles from the historic city of Exeter, this 40 acre sheep farm is just a short drive away from the north eastern edge of the Dartmoor National Park. The original ploughman's quarters have been expertly converted from a 16th century long barn, where the heavy horses were stabled, into two superb, adjoining holiday homes. The Yoke, the smaller of the two, retains much of the character of the original barn, with ancient beams and sloping ceilings. The living space is bright, airy and open plan, complete with wood burning stove and oak floors and encompasses a stylish kitchen area. A winding staircase leads to the pretty bedroom which enjoys sweeping views across open fields. Outside, guests have their own patio overlooking the lawned garden, which is shared with its neighbour, The Furrow.
There is wifi or internet access available at The Yoke in Tedburn St Mary. Perfect for searching for things to do whilst on holiday, catching up on emails or even work if you have to.
On nice days, when you want to relax you can sit out in The Yoke's garden and enjoy the sun shine. Children also love the outdoors so it can be a great place for them. Although, with young children you should always check any garden is safe for them.
